Relief coaching
When everything seems stuck,
there is one thing you will have to learn: how to let go
Overcoming crisis –
professional relief coaching
Where do everyday problems end and where do crises start? The answer to this question surely differs from person to person. In general, however, it can be said that life crises usually arise or are perceived as such when you are exposed to particularly stressful feelings, thoughts or experiences. The affected people have the feeling of being overwhelmed by their problems and are no longer able to develop suitable solution strategies on their own. Typical reactions in life crises are described by the three “Fs” Fight, Flight and Freeze. What these three have in common is that they are not deliberate and purposeful and therefore do not lead to any relief. Instead, they drain energy in the form of anger and aggression (fight), prevent solution-oriented thinking by looking away and denying (flight) or cause an inner blockage and inability to act (freeze).

BODY AND MIND
In interaction
The experienced CEE coach will be empathic and be able to show the clients a way to find back to their own resources and strengths. The goal is to re-enable clients to tackle problems themselves and regain confidence in their own self-efficacy. The original cause of the problems is almost irrelevant. Triggers can be professional worries such as (impending) job loss or bullying, private relationship problems, but also illness. Sometimes it is a mix of several factors that leads to the feeling that everything is getting out of hand. Often even with physical consequences.

The pace and possibilities of relief coaching are largely determined by the resilience of the client. Find more here: Resilience
Symptoms such as pressure, pain, palpitations, anxiety or shortness of breath are not uncommon. This is why stress relief coaching focuses on the physical as well as the cognitive and emotional level. Basically, blockages caused by events, situations and verbal and physical injuries can be dissolved.
What can be achieved with relief coaching, among other things, is:
- Emotional stabilization
- Generally regaining the ability to act
- Strengthening your own resources
- Stress reduction
- Reducing blockages
- Understanding crises as opportunities

MASTERING LIFE CRISES BETTER
By means of energetic coaching
Energetic coaching is a good way to help a person regain inner balance, strength and energy quickly and sustainably in a gentle, non-traumatizing way. Many of these methods provide relief by releasing blockages on an energetic level. This gives the client direct access to both current emotions and those that may lie in the past or hidden. Keyword: somatic memory. Energetic coaching can also be used to work systemically. This means that the focus is not only on the clients themselves, but also on other system levels such as the family or workplace. This is often where the reasons for stressful emotions can be found, which block and prevent you from taking control of your life.
What relief coaching can do - and what it can't
Energetic coaching includes energy work and coaching. Some methods are taught to the client by the CEE coach and can then be carried out by the client (for example tapping on acupressure points). This can make an important contribution to increasing the client’s self-efficacy.
In this context, however, it is important to note that severe emotional stress should never be dealt with by self-application, but requires professional support from an experienced CEE coach. In general, Energetic Coaching is in no way a substitute for psychiatric or medical care. Psychiatric illnesses such as disorders of consciousness, schizophrenia, borderline or deep depression must be treated by trained specialists. It can be useful to use Energetic Coaching as a supplement or support during or after psychiatric treatment.
In principle, it can also be used for
- Anxieties and phobias
- Depressive moods
- Stressful memories
- Tension and other physical or psychosomatic blockages
Who and when does relief coaching help
Relief coaching is always individual and personalized. As it provides support in coping with both private and professional crises, it benefits both private individuals and employees in organizations and companies. Here are some examples of situations in which relief coaching can help
Private environment
- Separation from a partner
- Loss of a loved one
- Existential fear
- Change in living situation (relocation)
- Personal conflicts
- Transition from parental leave to working life
- Stress with the children
- Feelings of shame and guilt/jealousy
- Personal disappointments
- Stressful beliefs and convictions
Professional/school environment
- (Latent) longing for a career change
- Communication problems with colleagues or superiors
- (Impending) dismissal
- Restructuring within the company, takeover of the company
- Change of supervisor
- Bullying or bossing
- Burn-out or bore-out
- Change of position and duties, transfer
- retirement
- Exam stress
How de-stressing coaching works
Relief coaching always takes place as individual coaching. Particularly important is the empathetic handling of the situation
the situation on the part of the CEE coach. The clients are valued and their concerns are taken seriously.
The aim is to create an atmosphere in which the client feels comfortable and which makes it easier for them to come to
and experience emotional stabilization. Under certain circumstances, this can also involve physical exercises
(e.g. tapping therapy/acupressure) in order to release blockages and to activate the client’s own strengths and abilities.
The CEE coach’s task is to accompany the client throughout the entire
process and to guide the individual steps
The process steps at a glance

The process steps at a glance
The client is emotionally
caught and will only then
be able to come back into a situation where the coach can work with him or her and
the client him/herself. For this purpose,
methods are used depending on the situation.

ORIENTATION
Here everything revolves around the question “Where
am I and which way do I want to
develop?”. It’s about
locating yourself internally and
defining goals. Here the client can gain
strength, hope and courage for the
next steps.

RELEASE BLOCKAGES
The client is enabled to
regain the ability to act. This is what
Energetic Coaching
was primarily designed for.
However, other
methods of relief coaching
are also used.

PIONEERING INTERVENTION
The client finds his way back to
action. Simple survival mode
turns into an active life mode again –
self-determined and creative.

DEFINE GOALS
The client develops
– with the help of the CEE coach –
future-oriented
and resource-oriented
solution strategies from within.

IMPLEMENTATION
The goals are actively tackled
and successively implemented.
Planned self-efficacy turns into
experienced self-efficacy.

ANALYSIS OF THE RESILIENCE FACTORS
Together with the CEE coach, clients
determine what is needed to make the newly
newfound resilience sustainably and
in the long term. In order to strengthen
for the future, so to speak.
Relief coaching uses various methods that work with body sensations, emotions or cognitions. These include tapping techniques (EFT, Dynamind, MET), solution-oriented short-term therapy, Somatic Experience and Brain Gym exercises.
